JESUS IS EVERYTHING...

SCRIPTURE

John 4:31-38 (NRSV)
Food that you do not know about

Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, "Rabbi, eat something." But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about." So the disciples said to one another, "Surely no one has brought him something to eat?" Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work. Do you not say, 'Four months more, then comes the harvest'? But I tell you, look around you, and see how the fields are ripe for harvesting. The reaper is already receiving wages and is gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, 'One sows and another reaps.' I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor."

MEDITATION—Today is Saturday Psalmody! Today, the meditation is offered in a non-traditional format. Today’s scripture reading is all about the importance of making Jesus your everything!

As Christians, we have the opportunity to go out into the world and tell everybody that it doesn’t matter what we’ve done, or how long we’ve done it, God still loves us and it is never too late to come home!

Today GOOD NEWS is rendered by the Mount Zion Church of Nashville. They present a skit about a woman struggling with the pressures and distractions of life. Jesus is the answer. The skit is set to the song “Everything” by Lifehouse.

If you would like a more traditional devotion, please search the archives for a title that appeals to you! (smile)

JESUS IS EVERYTHING…

Please go to this link to view the skit.

If you would like to put all of your hope in Jesus after viewing this skit, please pray with me:

God, thank you for Jesus! Thank you that although I have made some poor choices, you still love me. Please forgive me of my sin and fill me with the Holy Spirit. I want to make my way back to Jesus right now! Thank you for welcoming me with open arms. I know in you I am safe and secure. Please help me to lead others to Jesus as well. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

SPECIAL NOTE

If you just prayed that prayer for the first time, today, you are saved! I would be so honored if you would let me know about your decision by clicking “Yes” in the poll located at the top/right of today’s devotional! I am so happy for you! Happy Spiritual Re-Birth-Day!

Next steps: In response to what God did for you just now, let me suggest that you consider telling another Christian so that they can celebrate with you! Ask them to help you find a Bible that is easy for you to understand so that you can learn more about your new-found faith! Ask them to help you find a good Bible believing church where you can be baptized and make new friends who will walk with you on your new journey! You are already saved; now let God mature you by faith! Congratulations!
