The Kingdom of Our Lord

SCRIPTURE

Revelation 11:15 (NRSV)

God's reign at the end of time

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord
and of his Messiah,
and he will reign forever and ever."

DEVOTION

Hallelujah!

I can't wait for that glad and glorious day when all of my "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done..." prayers will be answered!

Won't that be phenomenal?

It's going to be such a great day when the kingdom of our world merges with the Kingdom of our Lord in the last day.

Instead of hatred, there will be love. Instead of war, there will be peace. Instead of sorrow, there will be joy. Instead of sickness, pain, and decay, all things will be made new!

What wonderful good news!

I am so glad that Love allowed Jesus to go to the cross to save us from our sin and gift us with eternal life. I am so glad that Jesus practiced a ministry of reconciliation on the Earth, that was a harbinger of all of the eternally good things that are to come.

One glad morning, we will hear the trumpet sound and we will be ushered into the Kingdom of our Lord where God will reign forever and ever. Amen!

Let us pray:

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven...
