Be Healed...

SCRIPTURE

Matthew 15:21-31 (NRSV)

Jesus heals

Jesus left that place and went away to the district of Tyre and Sidon. Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came out and started shouting, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is tormented by a demon." But he did not answer her at all. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, "Send her away, for she keeps shouting after us." He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." But she came and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, help me." He answered, "It is not fair to take the children's food and throw it to the dogs." She said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish." And her daughter was healed instantly.

After Jesus had left that place, he passed along the Sea of Galilee, and he went up the mountain, where he sat down. Great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the maimed, the blind, the mute, and many others. They put them at his feet, and he cured them, so that the crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.

Be Healed

Lord help me

She’s in torment you see

I need you to heal

To show me that you’re real

Have mercy on me

And won’t you agree

To turn away the devil

Put her sanity on level

With those of us,who are truly sane

With people like me,Who are not in pain

CHORUS: BE HEALED! BE HEALED! BE HEALED! IN JESUS NAME…

I don’t care bout Jew nor Greek

All I care is her prognosis is bleak

Without your help, don’t know what to do

Without your word, she’ll keep goin’ through

I’ve got faith, it makes me believe

I know that you are, able to relieve

Her pain, her sorrow, her anger, her woe

Please my savior, come on and show

Your power is for all who seek you in truth

To do anything less would be truly uncouth

CHORUS: BE HEALED! BE HEALED! BE HEALED! IN JESUS NAME…

I Thank you master, She’s so much better

To you I will, forever be a debtor

You are my Lord, my god, my friend,

I will follow you to the very end.

Come on everybody, he’ll heal you too

Join us on the mountain, I’ll show you what to do

Step right up and speak your name

Receive his touch, then you will proclaim

CHORUS: BE HEALED! BE HEALED! BE HEALED! IN JESUS NAME…

He’s the son of God, of this I am sure

He speaks the word, manifests the cure

Spread his fame, I’m sure you agree

He cares about you and he cares about me.

CHORUS: BE HEALED! BE HEALED! BE HEALED! IN JESUS NAME…(x3)

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

SCRIPTURE

Luke 18:35-43 (NRSV)
Jesus heals a blind beggar

As he approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard a crowd going by, he asked what was happening. They told him, "Jesus of Nazareth is passing by." Then he shouted, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Those who were in front sternly ordered him to be quiet; but he shouted even more loudly, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Jesus stood still and ordered the man to be brought to him; and when he came near, he asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?" He said, "Lord, let me see again." Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has saved you." Immediately he regained his sight and followed him, glorifying God; and all the people, when they saw it, praised God.

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Blinded man

On the side of the road

Begging man

Carrying heavy load

Of a life not right

Bereft of his sight

Considered a blight

Not even polite

Shouting loud

In the crowd

Mercy me!

Mercy me!

Quiet man

You just don’t understand

No right to demand

The master has plans

But then he began

To shout once again

Mercy!

Mercy!

Have mercy,

O Lord,

on me!

What do you want?

He asked so nonchalant

I want to be healed

Have the world be revealed

I want to see

Have mercy on me

I want to be free

That’s my only plea

Mercy!

Mercy!

Have mercy on me!

Have mercy on me!

Dear one

I’ve only just begun

Regain your sight

Walk in the light

Your faith has made you well

Now go and tell

You may even yell

At this you will excel

Share the good news

And Glorify me

Then you’ll always be

Able to see

The Truth…

The Truth…

The Truth…

Mercy!

Mercy!

Have mercy on me!

Indeed…
